Concepts, explained

Deans, in one minute

A Dean is 0.01% of the price a move started from. A candle has four Deans measurements: upper wick, body, lower wick and full range, each signed. Because they're proportional, a 50-Dean wick means the same thing on BTC and on DOGE.

The ICC model

Inducement: price takes liquidity (a sweep of a prior high or low). Consolidation: after the impulse that follows, price builds a range or pulls back into a zone. Continuation: a lower-timeframe break in the impulse's direction confirms the move. A setup is only active when each phase is confirmed by closed candles.

How the analyst works

Market regimes

Is a market trending, range-bound or in transition? The efficiency ratio compares net movement with the total path travelled: near 1 is a clean trend, near 0 is back-and-forth.

Explore regimes

Fair value gaps

A three-candle pattern where candle 1 and candle 3 don't overlap, leaving a gap the middle candle moved through quickly. Gaps are tracked until price trades back into them.

BOS and MSS

A break of structure is a close beyond the last swing in the direction of the move. A market structure shift is the first such close against the previous direction, an early sign that control may be changing.

Liquidity and sweeps

Liquidity rests beyond obvious highs and lows, such as the previous day's or week's, swing points and equal highs or lows. A sweep trades through that level and closes back inside.

Fibonacci retracements

After an impulse, the 38.2, 50, 61.8 and 78.6% levels of the move mark how deep a pullback has gone. In ICC, a healthy correction usually sits within the 38.2–78.6% band.

Multi-timeframe analysis

Higher timeframes set the direction and the map of liquidity, the middle timeframe holds the impulse and correction, and the lower timeframe times the continuation.

Reward and risk

Risk is decided first: where the idea is wrong (the stop), and how much you're willing to lose. Size follows from those two numbers, not the other way around.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Sea Liquidity place trades for me?

No. Every order is a preview first, and only your Confirm places it, once, on your own exchange account. Nothing is placed automatically, and research and backtesting tools cannot place orders at all.

Can Sea Liquidity withdraw my funds?

Create your API key with withdrawals disabled. Sea Liquidity never needs withdrawal permission and only uses your key to read balances and orders, cancel orders, and place the orders you confirm.

How are my exchange keys stored?

Encrypted with AES-GCM, bound to your account, and never sent back to your browser. Each one is decrypted only to make a single request. More on security.

Which exchanges are supported?

More than 90, through one interface. When you connect, the app lists them and asks for exactly the credentials your exchange needs.

Are Deans a trading signal?

No. Deans are a measurement: they describe a candle in proportional terms. Whether certain measurements have gone with better outcomes is a separate statistical question, answered with sample sizes and out-of-sample checks.

Is the ICC analyst AI?

No. It applies fixed, auditable rules, so the same candles always give the same answer. AI is used for research assistance and questions, and is labelled where it appears.

Where does the market data come from?

Named public sources such as Apex Omni, Yahoo Finance or FRED, ECB reference rates, Conduit, CoinGecko, ForexFactory and DefiLlama. Every value shows its source and time. See the methodology.

Are the demonstrations real?

Each one is labelled: Live (data the platform collected), Calculated (computed in your browser from live public candles) or Simulated (hypothetical, nothing is sent anywhere).

How much does it cost?

Plans are being finalised. See what each plan includes.

Is this financial advice?

No. Sea Liquidity provides information and tools. You are responsible for your trading decisions. Read the risk disclosure.
